Frequently Asked Questions
Can I undo changes if I make a mistake?
Yes! Use the "Reset" button to restore the original PDF and start over. However, once you download the organized PDF, that becomes a new file - the original remains unchanged on your device.
Will organizing my PDF maintain the original quality?
Yes! Our PDF organizer preserves the original quality of all content. Text remains searchable and selectable, images keep their resolution, hyperlinks stay functional, and formatting is maintained. We use pdf-lib which reorganizes pages without re-rendering.
Can I organize password-protected PDFs?
Currently, password-protected PDFs cannot be organized. You need to remove the password protection first using your PDF software, then organize the unprotected file. This is a limitation of client-side processing.
How do I rotate pages?
Right-click any page for quick 90° clockwise rotation. Or select multiple pages and use the "Rotate Selected" button to batch rotate. Each click rotates 90° clockwise (0°→90°→180°→270°→0°).
Are my PDFs uploaded to your servers?
No! All PDF processing happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript and pdf-lib. You can verify this by opening browser DevTools (F12) and checking the Network tab - you will see no file uploads. Your documents never leave your device.
What happens to the original PDF after organizing?
Your original PDF file remains completely unchanged. Organizing creates a new PDF file as a modified copy. The original file stays intact on your device.
Can I see what changes I've made before saving?
Yes! The interface shows "Modified" badge when you have unsaved changes. Thumbnail previews update in real-time showing current page order, rotation angles, and selection states. Review before clicking "Save Organized PDF".
